Thomasville Barberitos Hosts Breast Cancer Benefit

(Thomasville, Ga.) Barberitos, in partnership with Thomas County Central High School, will host the Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Percentage Night event on October 20, 2011 to benefit the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On the 20th, customers will see the Barberitos staff along with Thomas County Central High Student volunteers outfitted in pink shirts, pink tortilla chips will be served and 10% of the daily sales will be donated to the Oncology Center. In addition, “Barberitos Gives Breast Cancer the Boot” t-shirts will be on sale to raise additional funds.

Jessica Jones, the owner of the Thomasville Barberitos said “This event will be a great way to raise money for an important cause, as well as give back to the community by donating a portion of the sales to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center.”

All 24 Barberitos locations are promoting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by serving pink chips to customers. In addition, Barberitos is accepting donations online through its website, www.barberitos.com for Susan G. Komen’s Passionately Pink for the Cure campaign.

Each menu offering is prepared at the time it is ordered right in front of the customer. Barberitos “7 Under 7” menu features seven items each under seven grams of fat and less than 400 calories and includes a mini grilled chicken burrito, jerk fish taco, and a variety of salads.
